Construction Update – December 6, 2024
The County of Renfrew Department of Public Works and Engineering has provided monthly updates on construction projects within the County. This notice should be shared with members of the public, or in public forums, in order to keep residents, businesses, and stakeholders informed of any potential upcoming traffic interruptions due to construction projects. Completed Projects
The 2024 Construction Season has come to an end and all the planned construction projects have now been completed. A significant length of road works were completed, with more than 71 km being rehabilitated or reconstructed! Construction was completed to rehabilitate or replace 15 different County Structures as well. Not previously included in our construction updates, 16 km of Algonquin Trail is now completed with an additional 36.5 km of trail being built-up to be opened in the future.
This is a substantial capital program which was completed on top of regular maintenance, a large number of permits and municipal consents, as well as immeasurable administrative support. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize the efforts of Public Works & Engineering staff for this busy but successful year.
