WHITEWATER PARAMEDIC BASE

Location: Corner of Mine View Rd and Foresters Falls Rd, Township of Whitewater Region, Ontario

The County of Renfrew is seeking proposals from qualified Design-Build contractors for the complete construction and fit-up of a paramedic base facility. The County of Renfrew is currently in the process of acquiring a severed parcel of land at the corner of Mine View Road and Foresters Falls Road in the Township of Whitewater Region, which, for bidding purposes, will serve as the site for the new paramedic base.

The project consists of a one-storey structure with three (3) drive-through vehicle bays and an attached crew area, a Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (VTAC Office), and potential for additional storage, designed in accordance with the General Specifications for Paramedic Services Base Stations (Appendix A). The building must comply with all Ontario Building Code (OBC) post-disaster requirements.

Utilities such as electrical, natural gas, municipal water, and wastewater services are not currently available to the proposed site. The successful proponent will be responsible for the design, permitting, and installation of all required utility systems, including private well and septic solutions.

General Information
1. This submission is for the supply and delivery of two (2) Ontario certified Emergency Response Vehicle (ERVs).

3. Award may not be considered if the product on which a price is submitted, does not meet all the requirements specified.
4. Promised delivery date will be considered in the awarding this contract.
5. Award is subject to budget, council approval and is the sole discretion of the County of Renfrew.
6. These specifications only list the major details of a unit; therefore, it is the supplier's responsibility to deliver fully equipped vehicles with components that comply with these specifications in all aspects and provide dependable, efficient service. Where minimums are called for, the vehicles/equipment must meet or exceed the capacity, size and performance specified.
7. Vehicles must meet the provisions of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and the Regulations made there under, which are in effect on the date of manufacturing of each vehicle.
8. Vehicles must be certified and meet the requirements for an ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) under the Ontario Provincial Land Ambulance and Emergency Response Vehicle Standard version 6.1.

Request for Quotation – RFQ ML-2025-02 – Lawn Care/Grounds Maintenance and Flower and Shrub Bed Maintenance

LAWN CARE/GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

1. Cutting schedules must maintain a grass height between 50-70mm.
2. All litter, stones and debris are to be removed from lawns
3. Build-up of grass clippings affecting appearance or health of lawn are to be removed.
4. All areas must be trimmed at each cutting, (i.e., curbs, trees, shrub and flower beds and along building and fences
5. Identify any problem sprinkler system components to Miramichi Lodge during cutting.
6. Roll lawn in spring as required
7. Two references from institutional or commercial applications are required.
8. Site visit and tour of the property is mandatory for bid.

FLOWER AND SHRUB BED MAINTENANCE

1. All flower and shrub beds are to be cleaned and have any debris removed
2. All flower and shrub beds are to be maintained weed and insect free and fertilized and watered to maintain health of plants. Submit fertilization schedule and product list
3. All shrubs are to be trimmed to appropriate heights to allow residents to see over them when sitting in their rooms
4. Ensure trees, shrubs and flowerbed plant materials are maintained and pruned using horticulturally acceptable practices. Provide recommended schedule.
5. Fertilize trees, shrubs and flowerbed materials using horticulturally accepted practices and application rates. Provide recommended schedule.
6. Spray trees, shrubs and plants as needed to combat pests using products approved by Agriculture Canada.
7. Provide application of rodent repellent and guards as needed.
8. All flower and shrub beds are to be cleaned up at the end of the season.
9. Identify any sprinkler system components to Miramichi Lodge during maintenance.
10.  Site visit and tour is mandatory for bid.
11.  Two references from institutional or commercial applications are required.

FLOWER PLANTING

1. Planting annuals to supplement perennial beds.
2. Consider shade/sun situation in plant selection
